The 2024 and 2025 graduates of Ésad Saint-Étienne

The École Supérieure d’Art et Design de Saint-Étienne (Ésad Saint-Étienne) (Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design) reveals what goes on behind the scenes.

By presenting the projects of emerging artists and designers trained at the school, Ésad Saint-Étienne asserts itself as a place of transmission, transition and transformation. Here, learning is a shared human experience: artists and designers do not develop in isolation.

Transmission runs through every project, nurtured by the experience of instructors and the boldness of students. By celebrating collectivity, the exhibition affirms that the strength of tomorrow’s creative practices lies in our ability to work together.

The recto verso exhibition path reveals how hand and mind evolve in tandem, combining trial and experimentation to shape authorship and trace trajectories that explore new futures.

Through our past and upcoming projects, we seek to imagine exhibitions that are accessible and open, where contemporary designers and artists come together. Our interventions take place both in public spaces and institutional contexts, in the form of scenographic devices conceived as dioramas.
Display cases, containers, installations and exhibition paths give shape to shared narratives, activated through the dialogue between the works on display.
